Cowboysandrockstars.com is the culmination, collaboration and celebration of everything held dear in a  half century life.  It is a vehicle of self indulgence and appreciation for all that is fiercely, magestically and uapologetically Canadian  - no matter how un-Canadian unapolagetic actually is.  It is auto biographical in its journey and aspirations yet aims to illuminate a wide variety of cowboys and rockstars past and present on the heroes journey of everyday life.  It takes work, stamina, strength and a dash of blessed luck to get to the other side of 40.  Pull up a chair among friends familiar with life before the internet and cell phones.  We rode bikes without helmets and knew the difficulty and planning involved in making a decent mixed tape.  We bought 45’s at places like Woolworth’s, Woodwards, Eaton’s and Sam the Record Man. We played kick the can with our neighborhood crew until the street lights came on. and even in adulthood wondered how Casey & Finnegan didn’t end up on a milk carton. We remember the Journey of Hope and the day it ended because the cancer came back. We watched Tommy Hunter with our grandmothers and maybe even rode a wooden roller coaster before catching a relatively unknown singer named Bryan Adams open for Loverboy at the PNE Coliseum. Some of us may even remember the early Canadian pioneer hip hop nod and musical collaboration of Quincy Jones’ Soul Bossa Nova and the long running CBC games show, Definition. You drink pop not soda and technically, the bars are made of chocolate not candy.
